..and thank you for visiting. :) My name is Marina, and I’m the artist behind Heartbeasties. I have always been a creative person. My love for art began in childhood, and I loved spending time drawing, filling up my hand-made field journals, and making countless plasticine creatures.

As I grew up, art was never seen as a ''safe'' profession or even a viable career option, so with that in mind, I have ruled out art as a career choice, and went to university for Landscape Architecture in Croatia where I got my bachelor's degree. But, I have never stopped drawing, either for myself or for others.

In 2017, during a time of personal hardship, I found solace in art and sculpted my first beastie. From that moment on, I've been creating Heartbeasties and sharing them with the world.

As an artist, I am inspired by the beauty of nature and the power of imagination, combining the two to bring unique creatures to life. My goal is to create art that brings peace, comfort, and a sense of tranquillity. Heartbeasties are here for anyone who needs a little bit of hope and serenity in their lives.
